We finally got our blog up and running! Still trying to tweak it but wanted to inform you all of our whereabouts. After a busy and expensive summer in Newport/Jamestown, R.I. (Boat & mast inspections, bottom paint, finalized purchase, ordered & installed new zincs, halyards and sails, mainsail track & cars, purchased wind pilot, replaced thru-hull in head, installed bowsprit, etc.), Billy Ruffn arrived in the Chesapeake Bay on Sept. 4th. We participated in the Corinthian Yacht Club cruise on Sept. 19-22 and we are now on a mooring in Aberdeen Creek. The plan is to head for Hampton, Va. on Oct. 23rd to join the Salty Dawg Rally, which is scheduled to leave for Antigua on Nov. 2nd (weather dependent, of course). In the meantime, we’re looking forward to attending the Annapolis Boat Show and a week of weather forecasting & provisioning seminars with the Dawgs before we head off!!
